Moon Sand - the 44m Feadship in-house (de Voogt Naval Architects) designed yacht with interior design by Bannenberg & Rowell was launched at the Feadship facility in Makkum.

Moon Sand was designed for a highly experienced yacht owner. The design brief has three key elements:

“namely light, space and freedom of choice in terms of recreation”

For me, the special feature on Moon Sand is the reverse flow swimming pool on the main deck. The tender is stored on the sun deck. That saves space for an own garage. The pool features a lifting floor system. The pool can be used as a safe place for kids when the floor lifted up or can be used for swimmers including the reverse system with down lowered floor. We talking of a compactly sized superyacht ;).

Feadship Sales Director Bas Nederpelt comments:

“Over the past months, we have completed an exceptional number of Feadships, ranging in size from 44 to over 100 meters. We have also had the pleasure to work with some marvelous exterior designers, such as Ed Dubois, Tim Heywood, and Andrew Winch. Moon Sand is a testimony to the design excellence we at Feadship can offer clients ourselves.

Take the way the modern superstructure element rises above the classic Feadship bow – and how this element connects with the whole design via the strong and continuous profile line – and you can see why Moon Sand is a superior fusion of contemporary and traditional styles. Her sleek look reflects the fact that her senior designer Tanno Weeda and his team at Feadship have worked tirelessly to create a unified design. And they have certainly succeeded.”

Moon Sand‘s owner’s area has large stateroom, study, two bathrooms and two walk-in dressing rooms. Three suits reserved for six guests. Two of the suits can be transformed into a single stateroom with a separate seating area. A full beam VIP suite is located forward.
