The 23m MD75 KARMA by Maxi Dolphin is a very clean designed performance cruiser for a small crew.

The carbon fiber yacht KARMA is a development for an Italian client who sails high-performance dinghies and enjoys kiteboarding. Therefore, the mission was clear: The Irish performance specialist Mark Mills of Mills Design and the R&D partners KND Sailing Performance had to create a big fast boat. The project partners had a strong focus on weight (the yacht has a displacement of 26 tons) — furthermore, a generous sail plan to meet the client’s performance requirements and easy sail handling for family cruises.

KARMA‘s exterior design is very minimalistic. No deckhouse, a flush deck, and all sheet ropes find there way hidden under the teak deck to the winches in the cockpit. Not just a design feature – it reduces the risk of a stumble.

Seeing KARMA from a distance, her sharp lines could be a racing yacht. Only the teak and the cockpit with table point to a cruising boat respectively cruiser/racer.

Interior of KARMA

The bright interior is a creation by Italian studio Nauta Design. The owners’ cabin is forward in the bow area. Next to the owners’ area is a twin-bed guest cabin, while salon and dining is amidships. The aft area contains a double cabin and another twin-bed cabin with Pullman bed. All accommodations have en-suite bathrooms. The tender garage houses a jet RIB and kiteboards.
