Holterman Shipyards continues the Xtreme series with the 78 Sport Flybridge, with exterior design by Bernd Weel and interior design by Kitty van der Kamp. Theyacht's naval architecture, with a maximum speed of 26 knots, comes from Sea Level/Diana Yacht Design.
The Xtreme 78 Sport, a sleek and sophisticated yacht designed by Bernd Weel, was explicitly crafted for cruising Dutch canals and northern waters. Its low profile, voluminous hull, and sporty design make it an ideal vessel for outdoor living during long, hot summers. This latest addition to the Xtreme yachts series, which debuted in 2022 with the Xtreme 105 Lady Fleur, has garnered significant attention and acclaim. The Xtreme 78 Flybridge, which features a flybridge and other luxurious amenities, has received five orders in the year since Lady Fleur’s launch.
Julian van Santen, the sales and operational manager at Holterman Shipyard, attributes the series’ success to its ability to deliver a luxurious experience and amenities typically found on larger yachts while remaining compact and agile. This remarkable achievement sets the Xtreme yachts series apart from its competitors.
With a length overall (LOA) of 23.9 meters, this yacht can navigate within the confines of anchoring restrictions along the French Riviera. Furthermore, its alluring flybridge is impeccably designed to complement this feature. Crafted with warm weather living in mind, the yacht offers a helm station, wet bar, al fresco dining area, and multiple sunpad spaces. To enhance the overall sense of openness, the Xtreme 78 Flybridge showcases an electrically operated sliding roof on the flybridge, elevating the onboard experience and allowing guests to bask in the sun’s warm rays while enjoying the bar. Retaining the sporty character and dynamic appearance of the Xtreme 78 Sport, the Xtreme 78 Flybridge boasts a layout that prioritizes spaciousness, a Mediterranean-inspired design, and functionality that emphasizes outdoor living.
The success of the Xtreme series can be attributed, in part, to its ability to meet the expectations of its owners. An example of this can be seen in the case of Lady Fleur, which received accolades for the build and design team’s achievement in combining the owner’s desire for a 33-meter yacht with an aft drive-in tender bay that could be raised flush to the deck to create an 11-meter pool.
The Xtreme 78 Flybridge is a continuation of this trend. During the construction process, it became apparent that the owner valued a space for quiet contemplation of the ocean. In response, the team endeavored to create a personalized area catering to the owner’s preferences for enjoying moments on the water.
“To ensure safety, the yacht is equipped with a thermal FLIR camera in the engine room to monitor systems, while an expanded FLIR thermal imaging camera on the mast adds additional safety for man overboard procedures or identifying hazards during a night watch. Additional amenities include a 22.5 Kw generator, an electric shore power reel, air conditioning, and floor heating throughout the vessel, ensuring comfort in all climates,” says Van Santen, Sales and Operational Manager. “The Xtreme 78 Flybridge truly embodies a blend of cutting-edge technology, luxury, and innovation, providing an exceptional yachting experience for those who appreciate the finest details.”
