Heesen Yachts announced the christening of motor yacht ALP ex Project JADE (YN 20350) of the 5000-series.
ALP is a third of the 5000-series (50m semi-displacement) all-aluminum yacht with a top speed of 23 knots and a shallow draft of just 2.15 meters. The vessel welcomes 12 guests in five cabins. Omega Architects designed the exterior, and Cristiano Gatto the interior.
“This combination of speed and shallow draft makes the design ideal for cruising in shallow coastal waters such as the Bahamas, as well as the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean,” commented Heesen’s CCO, Friso Visser. “This is a compelling proposition for many yacht owners.”
The high speed is achieved thanks to the streamlined, lightweight aluminum hull, which boasts an efficiency gain of 12 percent compared to the previous 50-meter Satori design, coupled with two IMO III-compliant MTU 16V 4000 M65L engines. Heesen is the first shipyard to deliver fast, sub-500GT yachts that comply with the new emission regulations.
ALP’s modern yet cozy interior covers nearly 380 square meters and is an ideal retreat for unwinding after a day spent at sea. Heesen Interiors, our esteemed cabinet-making firm from Winterswijk, enabled us to fulfill last-minute requests to customize the interior furniture to the client’s liking.
The spacious outdoor areas of ALP are perfect for hosting guests at sea. The vast expanse of the sundeck, partially shielded by a hardtop, features a whirlpool encircled by sun loungers, a fully equipped bar, a dining area, and seating forward. The wheelhouse deck aft terrace is an excellent spot for enjoying meals outdoors. Thanks to smooth sliding doors, this coveted area effortlessly links with the sky lounge, forming a sizeable outdoor indoor space.
The main deck aft boasts raised sun loungers, a bar, and a dining area, all within easy reach. This design feature ensures guests have privacy while docked stern to a marina. Moreover, it allows for the creation of a full-height beach club below.
The beach club offers the most coveted spot by the sea, destined to be the focal point of entertainment on board ALP.
