AQUAMARINE marks the new 5000-series by Heesen Yachts

Heesen Yachts optimized their proven 5000-series together with Omega Architects and Van Oossanen. The yacht got an updated exterior design for a fresher look and a new optimized hull design that enables the efficiency of 12 %. Moreover, it features the new green oceanic engines (16V4000M65L) by MTU with an SCR unit (Selective Catalytic Reduction) to reduce NOx emissions to meet the TIER III rules.

“The design we created for the new 5000 Aluminium Class combines our own heritage with that of Heesen as a builder of elegant and sporty aluminum motor yachts,” comments Frank Laupman of Omega Architects. “The ‘integrated hull and body design’, which was first seen on the iconic 65m Galactica Star, gives a strong character to the yacht’s profile.”

Thanks to propellor tunnels, the 50m yacht has a draft of just 2.15 to reach shallow waters.

Project AQUAMARINE (YN 18950) is ready in January 2021.

Interior of AQUAMARINE

Cristiano Gatto designed a light and bright interior with big windows to enjoy panoramic views. The designer also selected furniture from Armani/Casa and Bottega Veneta.

Cristiano Gatto comments:

“I believe that Japanese accents help to create the right mood on board. Simplicity, linearity and bright colors are the main themes throughout. Our aim was to provide the owner and guests with a sense of wellbeing and relaxation. Clean and uncluttered living gives a sense of balance and love for beauty.”
