In addition to the GT version, the Turkish design studio Red Yacht Design and the Scandinavian shipyard Flying Flipper present now the open version - The Superfly GTO 42.

Like her sister, also the open version comes with a stylish design (personally, I like her more with the open stern). The yacht has a maximum speed of 50 knots, powered by a gasoline engine by Volvo or Mercury (2 x 430 hp). There is also a diesel version (2 x 370 hp) with a top speed of 45 knots available. Unfortunately, currently no hybrid version with electric only-version developed but Red Yacht Design plans a hybrid version. I think it would very cool, to lie at the stern and driving with low noise level alongside the coast.

The boat has a cabin forward with a bedroom, a saloon, dinner table, galley, and a bathroom to enjoy also some nights onboard.

Red Yacht Design explains:

“We’ve approached the air outlets with a new way of thinking. As a complementary unique element of the design, we’ve made organic designed air grills with special lighting inside. With design influences from the supercars, we’ve made a superboat statement which gives GTO a new privilege in the market.”

The construction of the first unit will start in two months. The launch is scheduled for 2019.
