The 70m Mulder Design OPAL is under construction at Ares Yachts in Turkey.
Mulder Design, a renowned Dutch naval architecture and design firm, has partnered with Ares Yachts, a Turkish shipbuilding company, to create a breathtaking new yacht. This yacht stands out for its quick delivery time, given that the hull is already being built. The yacht is built on Mulder’s innovative high-speed cruising hull, designed to maximize efficiency or allow for speeds up to 30 percent faster than the hull’s natural speed, depending on the chosen engine package. This design combines sleek, elegant, and classic styling.
With the hull’s engineering already established and proven and more than half of the hull already constructed, this project offers a great chance to purchase a luxurious 70-foot yacht. This also allows for the possibility of customizing the yacht’s layout and interior design to meet the specific needs and tastes of the buyer.
Choosing opal as the gemstone for the project’s name is a perfect match – it’s regarded as a protective and energizing stone that brings joy, hope, and spontaneity along with creativity, uniqueness, and vibrancy, all of which are mirrored in both the project’s design and the experience she provides for her lucky future owners. The yacht’s design includes several distinctive elements from Mulder Design, such as flared bulwarks at the front of the upper two decks that enhance visibility for the bridge wing stations and create more space around the owner’s suite on the upper deck. The initial design also includes a guest sky lounge at the back, which could be modified to transform the entire upper deck into a spacious private area for the owner, complete with a large aft deck and a forward cockpit lounge.
In the general arrangement, the lower deck is primarily allocated to the crew, housing crew cabins, mess areas, the main galley, and technical facilities. The upper deck forward features six luxurious guest cabins with elevated views, and the upper deck aft boasts a lavish saloon and dining area extending to an inviting multi-zone aft deck area featuring a bar, outdoor dining, and an aft lounge. The top deck is dedicated to the wheelhouse and the captain’s cabin, with an aft sundeck area, and the yacht ends with a special surprise – a cozy observation deck in front of the mast, complete with a spa pool. Guests will also enjoy a large beach club at the stern, with glass doors opening onto a spacious swim platform that provides excellent access to the water, thanks to a large transformer platform. A transverse garage stores the yacht’s various tenders and toys, and the foredeck serves as a touch-and-go helipad, offering the ultimate experience for arrivals and departures. The yacht, measuring 70 meters overall, has a 63.4-meter waterline length and a beam of 13 meters. Its maximum draft of 3.15 meters ensures it can access famous harbors and anchorages, while the provisional interior volume of over 1,400 GT offers ample room for luxurious owner and guest spaces.
SHARING IS CARING - THANK YOU!
