MED WAVE // Luca Abbate

MED WAVE is an 87m hybrid motor yacht concept with electric-only mode to sailing in restricted areas where traditional propulsions aren’t allowed. Moreover, the owner and guests benefit from low noise levels and vibrations.

According to the designer, the large infinity pool aft is inspired by the Grotta Della Poesie in the south of Italy.

Luca Abbate graduated in “Naval and Nautical Design” at the university of Genoa.

Thanks to large glass surfaces, the interior is full of daylight and offers great panoramic views. Luca Abbate describes his interior design as follows:

“In comparison with the exterior lines, the interior is marked by a chromatic variety coming from a wide material choice. Through the use of black, grey and white scales the owner will be able to experience the yacht in a more elegant way typical of the made in Italy. However, the internal geometries are linked to the sinuosity and softness of the exterior.”
