Arcadia Yachts is an interesting brand for people who wants to own a luxury yacht with the approach to be green. The yard presents now the Arcadia 100.
Update: Together with Hot Lab Yacht & Design, the shipyard presents the Arcadia 100+ with some improvements.
Arcadia uses a number of optimizations to offer a yacht that uses fewer resources with the same luxury yacht lifestyle to other yachts. The yard optimized the hydrodynamic of the semi-displacement hull, integrated solar panels to power most of the equipment and the electrical appliances, such as fridges, water pump, WCs, lights, A/V, electronics and recharge batteries while at anchor to reduce the use of diesel generators. Also, the yard minimizes waste materials during production and pain process.
The use of solar panels is not just a question of pollution, there is also no vibration, noise or diesel smell for more comfort. Arcadia uses a new generation of monocrystalline cells with eight rather than four sides each which improve their efficiency.
Ugo Pellegrino – Sole Director at Arcadia Yachts comments:
“The power generated at 24V goes directly to the battery pack and then via an inverter is converted to 220V and then sent to throughout the entire boat.”.
The Arcadia 100 is powered by twin MAN V8 engines with 1,000 hp each. The engines power her up to 18 knots maximum speed. The cruising speed is named with 16 knots. Fuel consumption can be reduced down to 50 liters per hour only at a speed of 10 knots. The stern garage hosts a RIB tender up to 4.45m and two jet skis.
The A100 is available in a four and a five-cabin version. The first unit – M/Y Aria S – has the five-cabin layout with the master suite on the main deck located forward. The forward location has full-height windows on the side and glazed ceilings to enjoy an 180-degree view.
On the lower deck is a 35 m² full-beam VIP cabin with two bathrooms, lounge/office and TV area. There is also an option to transform the suite into two cabins with a sliding door.
The sun deck with the flybridge has the option close it completely to a third deck by rising windows like in a car. It protects from bad weather but can also be air-conditioned. The aka sky lounge has sofas, wet bar and a sunbathing area.
