Created in collaboration with Nauta Design, the latest venture, Milano, represents the thrilling growth of the Tankoa collection and highlights the small shipyard's dedication to nurturing creative collaborations with famous designers. Tankoa, with enduring respect for Mario Pedol and his respected crew at Nauta, is thrilled to begin this shared adventure.
Tankoa and Nauta have christened this latest endeavor, Milano, taking its name from the city that inspired it in many ways. Milan is the perfect emblem as the birthplace of Nauta Design and a symbol of sophistication, style, and intelligent design. In this locale, imaginative concepts are brought to life in tangible form.
This new venture is remarkable in scale, spanning 70 meters in length, 11.80 meters in width, and 3.50 meters in depth. The outer facades are marked by sleek, clean lines that are both pure and harmonious, modern and elegant, showcasing a design ethos that is deeply ingrained in Tankoa and Nauta’s ethos.
Central to this project is the impressive stern section, crafted immediately to draw attention. It encompasses an outstanding beach club with a convertible gym, a serene sauna, and a massage room, all on top of folding hull platforms that rise to sea level.
Enhancing its appeal, a stunning swimming pool is set out on the outside, with a vast sunbathing area that can be tailored to the owner’s liking. Lowering the side bulwark platforms further enlarges the beach club’s area, turning it into an impressive private sea lounge, providing extra space for luxury and relaxation.
A standout element is the one-level diesel-electric engine room below the lower deck, which offers a direct route from the guest rooms to the beach club on the lower deck.
Below, on the lower deck, there’s a dedicated space for water toys and diving equipment, a crew mess, laundry facilities, a crew gym, and twelve crew cabins.
Up ahead, guests will find a remarkable open-air lounge linked to the beach by central stairs leading to the main saloon and dining area.
Further along, are two grand VIP staterooms, each with fold-out terraces, a galley, and a forward garage that can house two tenders, measuring 9 meters and 8.5 meters in length, respectively.
Entirely devoted to the owner’s comfort, the upper deck offers a spacious main suite with stunning views ahead, enhanced by direct access to a private pool and helipad at the front. This opulent suite has a walk-in closet, separate bathrooms for the couple, and a study. Further aft, there’s a sky lounge and an outdoor dining space.
On the bridge deck, besides the wheelhouse, there’s a captain’s cabin and a cinema room designed for guest enjoyment. The sundeck includes another outdoor lounge area with a bar, sunbeds, and two L-shaped, forward-facing sofas, creating an ideal environment to enjoy the magnificent views.
The Milano project embraces a diesel-electric propulsion system in line with Tankoa’s commitment to sustainable technologies. This innovative setup includes four variable-speed generators (CAT C32, with a maximum output power of 940 ekW) tasked with supplying electrical energy to two e-motors, each boasting 1650kW. This enables a top speed of 16.5 knots and powers the yacht’s hotel services.
The yacht will have fuel cells that provide up to 200kW of power. Tankoa is partnering with leading suppliers to integrate methanol fuel cells, which offer the best combination of sustainability, comfort, and safety. This initiative remains open to future technological advancements for secure and efficient hydrogen storage.
SHARING IS CARING - THANK YOU!
