Redwood Lurssen Nuvolari Lenard 139m

Project REDWOOD by Nuvolari Lenard and Lürssen

Here comes Project REDWOOD - a 139m design by Nuvolari Lenard (exterior and interior design) currently under construction at Lürssen

Project REDWOOD will feature two helicopter operating areas for fast arrivals and departures of the guests. Furthermore, large capabilities for tenders and toys up to 15m. Additionally, a large swimming pool, a sports area and diving center on the lower deck.

The yacht will be built with a steel hull and an aluminum superstructure and will meet the requirements of the Passenger Yacht Code (PYC) to carry passengers from 13 to 36 persons.

Delivery is scheduled for 2019 with an efficient propulsion for independent long-range global exploration.

Because owner allows releasing some information before launch (untypically for Lürssen yacht owners) and according to the PYC, I guess there are plans to run her as a charter yacht.

Motor Yacht Octopus

Expedition Yacht "Octopus" found Battleship "Musashi"

Paul Allen's "Octopus" was again on an expedition and found the sunken Japanese Yamato-Class battleship Musashi.

Paul G. Allen makes no secret of the ownership of the HDW Kiel by order of Lürssen built 126m motor yacht Octopus. This motor yacht isn’t just “a yacht”. She is an expedition ship, a floating heliport (one landing pad on the bow, one on the aft deck and a hangar for two helicopters), a basketball court and a music studio. She has also a 20m(!) tender and a submarine in the yacht’s own dry dock in the stern.

Octopus is one of a few yachts who see the world and undergoes adventures. A crew job must be awesome.

Admiral X-Force 145 Yacht Profile

Interiors and beach club & SPA area of X-Force 145, developed by Turin based architect Gian Marco Campanino – GMC Design, have been thought in close relation to the overall design of the yacht, in terms of fluidity, curved lines, rounded shapes and a large use of full-height sliding glass walls, in addition to double height spaces, private balconies for all VIP suites, indoor gardens and ponds, impressive fireplaces; all that matched with a style both futuristic and warm, made of the most precious materials and finishes combined with fresh and innovative layouts solutions, for a contemporary new top-level luxury standard.

Admiral X-Force 145 is equipped with a huge Owner’s quarter which takes an impressive 55 meters in length and to which an entire deck has been dedicated, a double level main saloon, two helipads and a hangar for helicopter, toys and cars, two cinemas, several gyms and huge sunbathing areas and external lounge areas.

The project is not another design exercise as the Admiral X-Force 145 has been developed on the same naval platform of “M/N Messina”, the last commercial diesel-electric vessel delivered by the Group in 2013 and currently part of the Italian Railways fleet, on a non-stop service activity among the Sicily Channel.

The production site, located in Marina di Carrara (Tuscany, Italy), spread over an area of 100,000 sqm and a 200-meter dry dock where this new model may be built. With her design and general arrangement plan, the Admiral X Force 145 truly is one of the most impressive and outstanding yachts of her size, offering a new perspective on the mega yacht world. It confirms the placement of The Italian Sea Group at the top of European shipbuilding in terms of know-how, history, production capacity, facility and technical experience.
