Wim van der Valk launched the new 25m all-aluminum Jangada - a very stunning yacht and my personal favorite in that size of motor yachts.
Jangada belongs to the new Continental Three series of Wim van der Valk and is the second unit. The exterior was designed by Guido de Groot who designed also the interior in cooperation with Belgian designer Nick Top appointed by the experienced owner.
Guido de Groot and Nick Top chose whitewashed English oak as a base for the interior design. They designed an open and light living space with great details like LED lights.
The owner resided in a full beam master suite with two walk-in wardrobes on the lower deck. There are also two guest cabins and a VIP suite. All cabins are equipped with ensuite bathrooms.
The crew quarter with two cabins, bathroom, crew mess and the galley is forward located on the main deck.
The aft deck is a shady spot for dining thanks to the extended flybridge, separated by wide glass sliding doors from the salon.
The flybridge has space for a 4.5m jet tender and a jet ski which can be lowered with a 600 kg crane. It features also a u-shaped dining area, wet bar with grill, sink, fridge, and ice-maker. A sunbathing area is in front of the wheelhouse.
Jangada is powered by three Volvo Penta diesel engines of the D13-900-series. Each one has 900 HP. This trio pushes her up to 23 knots. In addition to the Volvo Penta diesel engines, the yacht is equipped with the IPS pod-drive system to control her easily and safely with a joystick. Wim van der Valk offers the Continental Three range also with a conventional shaft propulsion.

My personal experience with Wim van der Valk: I visited the half-sister ship “The next episode“. The yard upholstered the blades of the shutter with fine leather. Awesome craftsmanship in every detail! But this is only one thing to highlight. They do a great job!
The yacht got a successor: Jangada 2 – the main project stakeholders are in again.
