Amels and H2 Yacht Design to present the 111m concept POLLUX

Pollux has seven decks and was designed to meet the requirements of the PYC (Passenger Yacht Code). The code is for yachts with the capability to carry 13 – 36 guests. The Pollux concept welcomes 20 guests along with a crew of 48. The crew can do much work without disturbing the guests because of prudent access to all parts of the yacht.

Jonny Horsfield, Director H2 Yacht Design:

“Our ambition was a design that drew on the AMELS DNA and heritage, but didn’t simply reproduce existing details. We have looked forward to the future design direction of the AMELS fleet, whilst maintaining a timeless look that captures the pinnacle of AMELS yacht building.”

Hans Konings, AMELS Design Manager:

“Our top team of yacht building experts has long experience collaborating with world-renowned designers and architects. We have a deep understanding of shipbuilding and our strong connections with classification societies and flag states. However you imagine your AMELS Full Custom yacht, you can be sure of the most advanced design and engineering with the absolute highest AMELS quality.”

POLLUX has a large swimming pool aft on the main deck. Another smaller pool can be found on the upper deck. At the aft of this deck is a large round firepit lounge area. Guests can arrive by helicopter that can land on the foredeck.

The yard about the design and color scheme: Long sweeping lines are highlighted in the sophisticated tonal paint scheme with metallic silver and jet black gloss superstructure with high-polish stainless steel grill and cloud white hull. Sharp surfacing and edges play with light. The upper aft decks appear to float, adding lightness to the visual weight of the design.
