Two students presenting their project Phoenix S50

Laura Cesca and Cristiano Lombardo are graduating in Design Navale e Nautico at the University of Genoa and presenting a stylishly designed flybridge yacht in the smaller 50-feet range. The design features a reverse stem and a falling profile line to the stern. The concept got a special mention at the “Millennium Yacht Design Award 2018” (MYDA).

The stern area of the yacht concept appears very inviting with the open design that features a bathing platform with stairs and sunbeds on both sides. Furthermore, the salon on the main deck can be transformed into an open area by retractable windows. In front of this area a galley and dining area.

Interior Impressions

The Phoenix S50 has an owners’ cabin amidships on the lower deck, a double guest cabin forward and another cabin for a guest or the skipper when the owner doesn’t want to steer the yacht by him or herself.

Two Volvo Penta IPS 700 with 550 hp each power the carbon yacht up to 35 knots.
