Euphoria 68 Yacht Exterior

Euphoria 68

Euphoria 68 - 21 meters of clean luxury

The Euphoria 68 is a luxurious production sailing yacht with a nice clean exterior design by Frers Naval Architecture & Engineering and an interior design by Design Unlimited.

The flat superstructure offers a great user experience while standing at the helm station. The cockpit offers a lot of space to enjoy dinner with family and friends. When removing the table there is also a good space for a working regatta crew.

Interior

The salon is full of natural light thanks to windows in the hull, the superstructure, and skylights. Also, the chosen materials are bright that the yacht has no basement feeling.

The owners’ suite is located in the bow and features an en-suite bathroom, double bed, lounger and a desk for office works or as a vanity. Also, a crew cabin is located in the bow but has an own ladderway.

Two guest cabins (one double and one twin bed) are located at the aft area. Both cabins are also equipped with en-suite bathrooms.

In an alternative layout, the owners’ cabin is aft and the guest cabins are forward. The bathing platform opens a lazarette for tender and toy storage, so the deck is free of equipment.

The price for the Euphoria 68 is about EUR 1.800.000.

Infiniti 105 Sailing Yacht

Infiniti 105

Sail into the future - Infiniti 105 with exterior and interior design by Design Unlimited

The Infiniti 105 comes with a very progressive, elegant, dynamic design and a very clean deck layout. Alongside her dynamic look, she comes also with the Dynamic Stability System – also known as DSS – with horizontal foils. The system is proven in the Infiniti 36 and 46. Also, the Baltic 142 will feature a DSS.

There are two bow options. You can choose the pictured reverse bow or a vertical stem. Another option is the seating area in the cockpit. The renderings show the racing version with space for the regatta crew but there is also a cruising version.

There are two general arrangements available. Layout A sees an inviting full-beam saloon with sofa and TV screen in the middle. The big skylight delivers a lot of natural light in the saloon. The bow area belongs to the owner. Two guest cabins (one with Pullman beds, one with twin bed arrangement) are between saloon and owners cabin. The crew area for four persons is aft and has one bathroom for the crew.

Layout B has a sofa area on the port side and dining on starboard. The galley moved from the crew area to the middle between saloon and guest areas. The crew area is getting more comfortable with ensuites. A tender is stored in a garage aft.

Pink Gin VI Baltic Yacht

Pink Gin VI by Baltic Yachts

Long awaited: Finnish luxury yacht builder Baltic Yachts launched PINK GIN VI (Baltic 175) - with a length of 54m the largest carbon fiber sloop to date in the world.

Pink Gin VI is the successor of the 46m Pink Gin. Her elegant exterior lines with a plumb bow and long stern overhang are a creation by the Germany-based studio judel/vrolijk & co. They did also the naval architecture. The interior comes from the boards of Design Unlimited.

Baltic’s flagship was built for Professor Hans Georg Näder – an experienced sailor who won the New Zealand Millenium Cup in 2007 and is a shareholder of Baltic with 80 % since 2013.

The yacht features a 68m carbon fiber mast and performance boom by Rondal in the Netherlands. The rigging equipment was delivered by Carbo-Link from Switzerland.

A not very often seen feature: She has two openings in the hull as balconies respectively terraces. One is forward at the owners’ area on the starboard side, the other one is amidships on the port side with direct access to the main salon. Speaking of the owner’s suite, this area features also a separate dressing room and a study. Five guest cabins with ensuite bathroom are also a part of the yacht.

Statement by Mark Tucker, Director of Design Unlimited

“Working on Pink Gin VI has been a great and exciting challenge.  The new yacht is not so much an evolution of the previous Pink Gin, but a revolution in design; a superyacht that reflects the personality and passions of the owner.

It’s been a six-year journey that has pushed the boundaries of design to create a tactile interior that unites international art, fashion and experience.

Design Unlimited paid specific attention to partnering the exterior deck spaces with the interior.  The result is a seamless transition, perfectly attuned to the al fresco lifestyle of superyacht ownership.

Pink Gin VI is not just a superyacht, she is a statement of individuality and creativity.”

PINK GIN VI got the Neptune Statue in the category “Sailing Yachts 50m and Above” at the World Superyacht Awards 2018.

Missy 33m Vitters

Missy (33m) by Vitters

Missy is a 33m high-performance carbon sloop, designed by Malcolm McKeon and built by Vitters and the UK-based subsidiary Green Marine.

When I saw the first official rendering of this machine, I knew this will be my new favorite. Good size, stylish exterior design, modern materials and fast.

Louis Hamming, Vitters Shipyard comments:

“Missy has a spacious, comfortable interior in which a lot of attention was devoted to the efficient use of available space on board. The compact engine room is fitted with a great amount of equipment and state of the art technology, while no compromises has been made on comfort or the use of advanced technologies.”

Missy welcomes eight guests in three guest cabins (two forward, one aft) and last but not least the owner’s suite. Also in the forward area. Furthermore, a crew of up to four people sleeps in two twin cabins. The yacht owner has an eye on crew comfort with a generously sized crew mess and en-suite showers for both cabins.

The lazarette has space for a 4.10m tender, sailing dinghy and other water sports equipment.

Missy 33m Vitters

Malcolm McKeon comments:

“I’ve been in the superyacht business for 30 years, producing designs across a broad expanse of style, but it’s been a particularly exciting experience to design this superyacht for a new client, helping him transition from his knowledge of production boats to a fully-customised superyacht.”

Euphoria 54

Euphoria 54 - Pocket sized superyacht

The Euphoria 54 is actually a smaller yacht for this blog. But as a sailor, I have to check also this sizes. I was impressed by this craftsmanship and the wonderful interior. So she needs a place here.

Euphoria Yachts is a brand of the Turkish-based Sirena Marine shipyard. Her German Frers designed exterior has very fine lines and enough space for a working regatta crew on deck. She is equipped with modern technologies to handle the yacht easily with a crew of two. Or alone if you have enough practice to berth.

The Euphoria 54 features a stern garage for a small tender. So you have an unimpeded deck.

The interior design is bright, luxurious and feels very spacious for a 54-footer sailing yacht with awesome craftsmanship. The design comes from the boards of Design Unlimited. Nice details are the floor-level lighting and storages with hidden latches to keep the interior clear. The flatscreen tv can be recessed if it is not in use.

The yacht accommodates six guests in three cabins (including owner’s cabin). Two double cabins and one twin bed cabins are available. Owner and guest cabins come up with ensuites including showers.

Personally, I prefer yachts from 80 to about 115 feet. So I look forward to their 84 feet model. If I would purchase the 54-feet-model I would add a second engine control system to have it on both sides and another navigating system outside.

Baltic Yachts WinWin

Baltic 108 WINWIN

Win Win situation - Speed, style, cruising comfort and modern technology - Baltic Yachts delivered the 33m custom made Baltic 108 WINWIN earlier this summer.

WINWIN is a high-tech cruiser/racer constructed in prepreg carbon composite designed by Javier Jaudenes. The yacht was developed for cruising with a lot of comforts and a small crew but also for racing on regattas.

WINWIN has a draft of meters but thanks to a lifting keel she can also visit shallow waters. Another underwater feature is retractable propulsion system to reduce the water resistance. A refinement of the system first used on the Baltic 147, Visione, the fixed propeller has been optimized, resulting in lower fuel consumption and a quieter engine, whilst also proving more effective during reversing manoeuvres.

The sleek superstructure encapsulates a long deck saloon, seamlessly connected to a single-level cockpit via the push button retractable glass bulkhead. This bulkhead drops down discreetly, ensuring an uninterrupted transition between interior and exterior. The spacious cockpit features a sunbathing platform on either side and provides an excellent area for fast, efficient maneuvers while racing, and a large enough space for enjoying al fresco dining. The aft crew entrance ensures quietness and owner’s privacy.

The modern and functional interior comes from the boards of Design Unlimited. The forward section is mostly taken up by an exceptionally generous master suite comprising of a large, full-width cabin with en-suite shower room, and a study and owners’ lounge stretching down the port side complete with desk, three-sided settee and ample storage. Facing that across the center line is a Pullman cabin for the owners to use when passage making, demonstrating that this yacht is intended for serious sailing.

The deck saloon is a well-proportioned seating and entertaining area with plenty of light, not least as a result of the retracting glass bulkhead that leads out to the cockpit center aft section of the boat includes two twin guest cabins each with en-suite, plus a fully-equipped galley, crew mess with navigation station, and two Pullman cabins providing high-quality accommodation for up to four crew. In keeping with the brief for a light, minimalist finish, the interior uses washed and limed oak veneers for the floors and interior joinery, while white high-gloss painted lacquered overheads aid in reflecting light throughout. Concealed light panels help maintain the atmosphere of clean simplicity

Retractable lightweight propulsion system

This lightweight retractable propulsion system (RPS) was developed by the Dutch engineering company Ship Motion Group

“Retracting your propulsion system will result in a total drag reduction from 4,6 to 10,2%”
