Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design unveiled the mm751 - a 75m catamaran with interior design by m2atelier.

mm751 provides much open space and modern lines like a reverse bow and glass surfaces. Also, solar panels in the glass skylight show here comes a modern yacht directly from the drawing board. The twin helm station on the flybridge offers a 360-degree view.

Malcolm McKeon comments:

“Whilst seeking a large and comfortable sailing yacht with excellent performance, the client also specified that onboard spaces should be more like those associated with motor yachts. By ‘unpicking’ traditional arrangements such as saloon lounges and a general flow forward from the aft, we were able to create a more organic dynamic that sees interior living spaces spread across both hulls and with key areas running full beam.”

Powered by a diesel-electric propulsion system, mm751 reaches a top speed of 17.5 knots with an operating range of 2,000 nautical miles. At a cruising speed of 12 knots, the range is 4,200 nautical miles. Electricity fed back, and the solar panels in the glass skylight produce new energy. Under sails, mm751 performs 1.5 times the wind speed in light airs and over 25 knots in stronger winds.

Interior of mm751

m2atelier created an airy yet elegant and open-plan interior, supported by generous glass surfaces that fill the salon with natural light. The central place is a lounge directly under the skylight, while a cinema lounge is on the starboard side. Furthermore, the main deck contains a bar, a formal dining area, and the main galley. The galley has the ideal place to serve the dining room and aft deck.

mm751 welcomes up to twelve guests in six suites. The forward area of the main accommodates the master suite and the VIP suite. If the VIP suite is not needed, the area can be transformed into a full-beam master suite with a private lounge.

A 12m tender can be found on the port side, while a 9m tender is on the starboard. Fold-down balconies offer easy tender or water access for diving or swimming. Moreover, a gym provides an excellent view while training at anchor. Next to the gym is a submarine stored.
