Crystal Glacies is a progressive project by Matej Pinkos
The 84m sail-assisted yacht features an LNG (Liquified Natural Gas) system as main propulsion. Moreover, there is also hydrogen fuel cell technology and solar sails to refresh the battery packs.
Crystal Glacies has a jacuzzi on the bow with a retractable floor to welcome a helicopter on a touch-and-go helipad.
The A-Frame Rig
“Another pioneering system used on this vessel is the A-frame mast system (MidesDesign studio). This type of mast solves the problem of the internal volume being limited by the masts, as well as the driving force from the sails being
transferred more efficiently onto the hull.”
The rig has a Panamax height of 57.91m to cross the Panama Canal.
