Heesen's Project COSMOS

With a length of 80.07m is Project COSMOS the largest yacht project to date by Heesen Yachts.

Sometimes I am thinking of renaming yachtemoceans into “The Heesen Yachts Blog” – a very busy shipyard.

Anyway, back to Project COSMOS: This yacht is not only the biggest to date for the yard, it will be also the biggest and fastest yacht (29 knots) built in full-aluminum. It is based on Van Oossanen‘s patented and tested Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF). The exterior design was designed by the well-known London-based design studio Winch Design.

A fully rated helipad will welcome an EC 135. When the helipad is not in use, this area can be transformed into an outdoor cinema.

Project COSMOS will accommodate twelve guests in four suites on the lower deck and in one VIP suite with a private studio on the bridge deck. Furthermore, a master suite is placed on the main deck. The crew of nineteen can be onboard.

Interior

The Dutch design studio Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design has been appointed to create the interior design.

Natural mathematics, such as the Fibonacci sequence, form the basis for the interior architecture.  Together with clear graphic lines the result is a clean architectural environment. Special, featured materials, such as backlit onyx, straw marquetry and crystal glass panels are framed within the architectural lines to emphasise the beauty of these materials.

Winch Design teamed up with Heesen to create the 66m concept AVANTI

Heesen Yachts and Winch Design present the 66m concept AVANTI that looks similar to Royal Huisman’s DART 65 (also designed by Winch).

The owner’s cabin with a panoramic view and access to the forward relaxation area is placed under the raised pilothouse. The owner’s area is also connected to the private sky lounge.

The yacht’s sun deck has a Jacuzzi, relax area and a bar. When the Jacuzzi is not enough, guests can use the 5m infinity pool to do some lengths in fresh water. A garage under the foredeck houses a limousine tender and a rescue boat. The lower deck offers a full spa with gym, sauna and a Hammam.

ARETI Yacht Lürssen

ARETI by Lürssen (Project Sasha)

Lürssen announced the delivery of the 85m motor yacht ARETI aka Project Sasha.

ARETI got her her exterior and interior lines by the London-based studio Winch Design. The yacht offers eight spacious guest cabins and a large owners suite. There are currently no interior pictures available but Lürssen describes the interior: “traditional but fresh interior styling.“.

Guests can enjoy a spa area on the lower deck with sauna, hammam, jacuzzi and a full depth plunge pool. A large hatch transforms the stern into a large bathing platform. Lürssen constructed her to the PYC (Passenger Yacht Code) to carry 13 to 36 guests. For fast guest transfers, ARETI offers a certified helicopter landing area on the foredeck.

Forward located is the owners’ suite with private rest area that includes an own Jacuzzi, sunbathing area, and dining table.

The yacht was delivered in July 2017 to her owner and had her debut in the 2017 edition of the Monaco Yacht Show.

AURORA Yacht Lurssen

Lürssen's 74m AURORA

Lürssen announced the delivery of AURORA

AURORA aka Project GATSBY is with her 74m one of the smaller yachts in the last time. The exterior and interior are a creation by the well-known studio Winch Design from London. Winch used the Art Deco style that had its peak in the years 1920 and 1930. The master suite has antique artworks and the guest cabins are arranged with individual characteristics. Unfortunately, there are no interior images available.

Lürssen describes the six-deck yacht with a lot of space for the guests’ entertainment and many practical and useful features. One of them is a full beam sky lounge.

Lürssen Yachts built the best Motor Yacht of the Year 2016 - Dilbar

Dilbar (also known as Project OMAR), the biggest yacht by volume (the longest is Azzam with 180m) received the award “Motor Yacht of the Year” and in the category “Displacement Motoryacht 3,000 GT and Above” in Florence.

“One of the most complex and challenging yachts to be built”, the judges described her “as the most spectacular yacht they had ever seen and a clear winner for this prestigious award.”

The yacht has two helipads. One is on the bow, the other one aft on the top deck and is the home of an Airbus 175 and is one of the largest VIP helicopters in the world and was designed by Pegasus Design.

Cloud 7 is for beginners - CRN constructed CLOUD 9.

CLOUD 9 is a design by Zuccon International (exterior), CRN in-house (naval architecture) and Winch Design (guest areas, livery, interior decoration and owner’s supply).

The design vision of the yacht is an optimized balance between interior and exterior spaces. The yacht has distinctive open-air areas like a private area forward of the master suite and large beach club area with an extended platform.

Cloud 9 welcomes up to 16 guests in a master suite, VIP suite, and six guest cabins. The crew area offers accommodation for a crew of 22 people.

Motor yacht PLVS VLTRA belongs to the AMELS 242 Limited Edition.

PLVS VLTRA has an exterior design by Tim Heywood and an interior design by Andrew Winch. AMELS delivered her in April 2016.

The owner has an own deck with 240 square meters of space. This area features a forward-looking owner’s suite, ‘his and hers’ bathrooms, and an owner’s office. Aft is the owner’s lounge, with large sliding windows facing aft, capable of making the lounge an inside or an outside area.

Sleek, sporty and elegant - that's the DART 65 by Royal Huisman - inspired by dolphins.

DART 65 (65m / 213 ft.) is a concept that looks different than the ‘mainstream’ motor yachts, but still very elegant and luxurious. London-based design studio Winch Design created the exterior design. An eye-catching reverse bow and an arc line complete the great profile. Azure Naval Architects made the calculation.

The DART 65 welcomes 12 guests on her three decks. A big pool and lounge area are located aft on the main deck. During times in marinas, the foredeck offers much space with sunbathing area and jacuzzi with more privacy.

The owner lives on the main deck in his own full-beam suite with dressing and bathroom. In addition to the owner’s suite is the main deck the place of a big lounge area, dining for up to 12 people and a bar. The tender storage is under the foredeck

Equanimity Oceanco Yacht

91.5m EQUANIMITY by Oceanco delivered

The Dutch superyacht builder Oceanco delivered with Equanimity the first yacht built to PYC (Passenger Yacht Code).

The etymology of the word equanimity derives from the Latin aequus meaning balanced and animus meaning spirit or internal state. The concept of equanimity—internal balance— is both profound and refined. Oceanco’s newly delivered 91.5-metre Equanimity is aptly named; from her exterior to her interior to her inner core, she is perfectly well balanced.

Equanimity (Y709) has the distinction of being the industry’s first superyacht designed and built to be fully Passenger Yacht Code (PYC) compliant. Oceanco CEO, Marcel Onkenhout, says:

“Working together with Lloyd’s Register and Cayman Islands Shipping Registry— we designed, developed, engineered and built a magnificent yacht, which will undoubtedly set new standards in the industry.”

Equanimity Oceanco Yacht

The owners look forward to extensive world travel aboard their distinctive luxury vessel. Measuring 91.5 meters in length with a 14.5-metre beam, her chic clean exterior styling is the combined work of Oceanco and Andrew Winch Designs. The breathtakingly beautiful interior has also benefitted from the quintessential touch of designer Andrew Winch. The inherent oriental-inspired themes yield a montage of sumptuous materials such as wenge, gold leaf, bamboo and marbles creating an opulent and soothing ambiance that complements the Owners’ China origins.

Equanimity provides luxury accommodation for 26 guests in a variety of flexibly configured staterooms— a magnificent master suite, three VIPs, three doubles and two twin staterooms. She has ample accommodation for 28 crew to cater to all the owners’ and guests’ desires. The grandeur of the spa and beach club is complete with sauna, hammam, experiential showers, plunge pool, and multi-faceted beauty salon. The spa area leads on to a fully equipped gym and Pilates studio that can be extended through a fold down platform at sea level, creating an indoor-outdoor wellness area that is unequaled afloat.

Equanimity hosts two Zodiac Fast Rescue Ribs and two 10.5-metre custom Hodgdon tenders. Additionally, there is a spectacular 20m² swimming pool with jets. Providing a new benchmark in superyacht-based aviation, the upper deck boasts a fully certified helipad in accordance with CAP437 regulations as adapted for the PYC.

Equanimity is steel hulled with an aluminum superstructure and is propelled by twin 4,828hp/3,600kW MTU 20V 4000 M73L engines, enabling her to achieve top speeds in excess of 20 knots.

On the 13th September, Oceanco’s stunning new 91.5m superyacht Equanimity won the prestigious award for “Best Yacht of the Year over 82m” at the 2014 World Yacht Trophies. The exclusive awards ceremony organized by LuxMedia Group took place in Cannes at the Carlton Beach Hotel and featured a gala dinner followed by the awards presentation and a spectacular nighttime parade of yachts cruising along the shoreline.

On 23 September, Equanimity had the further distinction of winning the esteemed Monaco Yacht Show award for “The Finest New Yacht of the 2014 Monaco Yacht Show”— the Best in Show! The award ceremony took place at the lovely new Norman-Foster designed Yacht Club of Monaco. The director of the Monaco Yacht Show presented Oceanco the award at the show’s opening cocktail reception party attended by industry members, the press and VIP’s.

The 62-metre Feadship Sea Owl has been delivered to her owners. The ceremony took place in Amsterdam’s Maritime Museum.

Sea Owl‘s clients were so pleased with their yacht that they decided to throw a party for the Feadship personnel involved in this exceptionally custom superyacht. Along with their partners, a total of 800 guests wined and dined with Sea Owl’s owners and their family on a summer evening that will live long in the memory of all who were present

Feadship Madame GU

Feadship launched 99m "Madame GU"

Luxury yacht builder Feadship of custom motor yachts, has launched the largest Feadship to date: "Madame GU".

The 99-metre masterpiece was created by the Feadship yard in Makkum and is also the largest superyacht ever built in the Netherlands. Sleek and quick, and with exquisite exterior detailing, she is a well-honed masterpiece bound to turn heads in the marinas of the world.

More than four years in the making, Madame GU left the building hall today. She is an elegant and striking tribute to her visionary owner, the talented design team of Andrew Winch and the hundreds of Feadship staff who built her.

As is usually the case with Feadship, confidentiality is a given but is no secret that Feadship’s advanced hull construction system, fine-tuned over many decades, has enabled its craftsmen to construct a slender lightweight vessel that, despite her 99-metre length, can attain a speed well over 24 knots. Capitalizing on Feadship’s engineering experience on motor yachts Predator and Tango, she is capable of such speeds thanks to her highly efficient hull form and quadruple engines driving controllable pitch propellers swift and efficiently.

 

The experience of a different kind underpinned some of the other special requests for this latest member of the Feadship fleet. Leveraging on the expertise accrued on 81-metre Air, launched in 2011, and the fully enclosed helicopter hangar which was developed for 86-metre Ecstasea from 2004, Madame GU is the second Feadship to feature such a certified helicopter storage system.
