Riva 110 Dolcevita Yacht

RIVA 110' Dolcevita

The RIVA 110' christened Dolcevita has been launched.

The design of the RIVA 110 was created by Officina Italiana Design. The planing yacht is currently the fiberglass flagship of the legendary Italian shipyard and offers a top speed of 26 knots, powered by two MTU engines.

The yacht welcomes up to 20 guests and offers sleeping places for up to 10 people. The traditional layout offers an owners’ area on the main deck forward and four guest cabins on the lower deck amidships. The crew cabins are forward.

The flybridge offers a C-shaped sofa, a bar, a fixed bimini for a shaded area and a sunbathing area aft.

Riva 110 Dolcevita Yacht

“For the largest Riva ship we have chosen the name of a time that is still endowed with sparkle and charm. The Dolce Vita as a truly Italian style indication, the happy combination where good construction and the good life come together. Cruising on this amazing 33 metre yacht is an aesthetic and emotional experience akin to the amazement felt by anyone watching the passing of the Rex, the famous cruise ship featured in the film Amarcord, another of Federico Fellini’s masterpieces -according to the Ferretti Group Chief Executive Officer, Avv. Alberto Galassi. This new seaworthy work of art is not just a gift to our brand’s fans, but to all dreamers who can thus rediscover the splendour and thrills of a new Dolce Vita”.”

Italian elegance with a sporty look: The Riva 76 Perseo

The Riva 76 Perseo is one of my personal favorites when we are talking of “smaller yachts”. My previous impressions from images where confirmed during my visit at the boot Düsseldorf. This 23m motor yacht comes with a sporty and elegant look but also with a small flybridge to enjoy the journey with a view.

This beauty was designed by Officina Italiana Design. The designers Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta chose Moon Grey – a metal silver – as the main color.

The main salon with the integrated helm station has very big windows that catch a lot of natural light. This area features an L-shaped settee for dining and an L-shaped sofa with a coffee table.

Downstairs on the lower deck is the full-beam owners’ suite with walk-in wardrobe, en-suite bathroom, sofa, and desk. The VIP cabin is in the bow. Furthermore, there is a twin guest cabin and the galley on the lower deck. The area for two crew members is behind the engine room with direct access to the technical area.

The sundeck has a fold-out helm station with engine monitoring, joysticks for thrusters/tiller and radio device. Furthermore, a U-shaped seating area forward and a sunbathing area aft.

Fiat 500 Riva Yacht Edition

Fiat 500 Riva Yacht Edition

Carmaker Fiat announces a collaboration with Riva and shows a Fiat 500 Riva Edition.

What do you think about a minicar with luxury features and a luxury brand from the yachting industry? Would it be more a job for Maserati? My first thought was:

“Oh my god. Riva, what are you doing there?”

But the more I watch the video, I think it is okay. Especially when you need a small car for small streets or you have it as a tender on a big motor yacht.

The Fiat 500 (available as sedan and cabriolet) Riva has not just a Riva logo, the car has mahogany and maple wood in the interior combined with ivory colored leather seats and blue details. Also aboard: Chrome door mirror caps, climate control system, 7-inch touch screen, 16-inch aluminum wheels. For the first 500 cars: Personalized lettering with 17 letters or numbers at the center console.

I hope, my local dealer will have that car in his showroom to inspect this one if this the quality to represent the name Riva.

The Fiat 500 Riva sedan starts at 17.840 Euro, the cabriolet at 20.440 Euro

By the way, it is not the first collaboration with the Ferretti Group. CRN’s Chopi Chopi had a role in a Fiat 500 commercial spot.

CRN Riva project 68mt

"The finest Art on Water" - Art Exhibition in Hamburg

"The finest Art on Water" is a part of the art exhibition "Rich Pickings" at the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe (MKG) in the German city Hamburg.

The famous Italian shipyards CRN and Riva of the Ferretti Group have collaborated with artist Christian Jankowski.
Christian Jankowski aims to engage directly with the idea of sales and exchange and the value of luxury goods. “The Finest Art on Water” is not only a yacht but also a piece of art that fully immerses the spectator.
According to Jankowski:

“The yacht is the perfect sculpture, a perfect self-contained vessel of information.”

Visitors to the exhibition will explore the presentation of wealth in contemporary society, and through “The Finest Art on Water”, be confronted with the idea of luxury objects; that artwork can generate cultural capital and elevate the buyers above the level of conventional taste and material consumption.

CRN Riva project 68mt

Jankowski collaborated with yacht builders CRN, the Italian shipyard specialized in the construction of fully customized steel and aluminum superyachts over 40m, featuring a 68m vessel, whose exteriors and interiors lines were designed by Officina Italiana Design, and have been produced by the shipyard in the contemporary artwork. The Aquariva Cento, a limited edition boat, also designed by Officina Italiana Design, that can be available as a tender for CRN superyachts, will also be sculpturally displayed as part of the installation, simultaneously challenging an art audience and yacht lovers alike.

Luca Boldrini, CRN Sales & Marketing Director said:“Following the success of Frieze in 2011 and Christian Jankowski’s exhibition at The Centre for Contemporary Art at Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw, we are excited to be once again showcasing our collaboration that allows viewers to engage with our yachts in a different environment. Art and design have always played an integral role in all that CRN and Riva stand for and we are incredibly proud of ‘The Finest Art On Water’ and its ability to transcend a yacht from an object to a covetable piece of art.”

riva 88 miami convertible top

Convertible Top of Riva 88 Miami

The Riva 88 Miami is a revolutionary yacht which perfectly blends an open and a coupé model into one single vessel.

The hull # 1 will be completed and launched by the end of 2014, with its official world première scheduled in the first months of 2015. The 88′ Miami features a cutting-edge innovation with an exclusive Ferretti Group patent installed on this new project for the very first time.

Convertible Top is the name of the innovative system, designed and developed by AYT&D in collaboration with the technical partners of the Group, Besenzoni Spa, and Centro Stile Srl. It turns this model into a multifunctional yacht, “convertible” because it can be transformed into an open or a coupé with one single and easy movement. The convertible top offers three different functions into one single system, due to the function that handles the aerodynamic hard top into three different positions. This new project features excellent performance, with a choice opportunity of the engines by MTU.

As the standard version, the Riva 88 Miami is fitted with two MTU 16V 2000 M93, 2435 mhp, which allow reaching a maximum speed of 38.5 and a cruising speed of 34 knots, with a range of 315 and 340 nautical miles, respectively. As an alternative option, as in the case of hull number 1, 88′ Miami, can be fitted with two MTU 16V 2000 M94, 2638 mhp. This new project by Riva, with these engines, can reach a maximum speed of 40.5 knots and a cruising speed of 36 knots, with a range of 300 and 325 nautical miles, respectively (preliminary data).
