Princess Yachts R-Class 35

Princess Yachts announces their new R-Class 35 as R/Evolution.

Princess Yachts has a new boat class under development. The carbon fiber boat was developed together with BAR Technologies and the Italian design studio Pininfarina. The prototype was wrapped in a new version of Dazzle Camouflage, designed by Katie Sheppard of the Plymouth College of Art.

The R35 comes with an Active Foil System (AFS) for lower drag and more stability. Two all-aluminum V8 petrol engines power the boat up to 50 knots.

Alongside the camouflaged prototype and the renderings in Electric Blue, the yard came up with renderings in different color schemes.

The cabin’s interior comes with a U-shape seating with a table that can be turned into a double bed. A galley with sink, drawers and some storage space. Furthermore, a 32-inch TV connected to a Naim audio system and a bow camera. Also, a wet-room with shower and lavatory is onboard.

The Galene Edition comes in a limited edition of just 30 cars. The car has a bright appearance through the Glacier White paintwork and the 21-inch polished wheels. Additionally, a fine blue line underscores the maritime feeling. Furthermore, it features fine pinstripe walnut in the interior that looks a bit like a teak deck.

Mulliner (Bentley’s bespoke division) created this one in collaboration with Princess Yachts.

Kleven 370 U116 Ulysses 116m

Kleven U116 Expedition Yacht goes outfitting

Kleven U116: Norwegian shipbuilder Kleven Verft launched their second superyacht to the same owner after Ulysses in 2014.

Kleven U116 (370) was designed by Marin Teknikk in cooperation with New Zealand based Oscar Mike Naval Architects for Graeme Hart. The yacht has a length of 116m.

Update 5th December 2016: She arrived Stahlbau Nord in Bremerhaven, Germany for final outfitting like her smaller sister (Ulysses 107m). The vessel accommodates 66 people.

“It has been a great pleasure working with Mr. Hart and his team on this magnificent project. We highly appreciate the trust they have shown us by placing not just one but two orders with Kleven, in what was a new segment for us,” said Ståle Rasmussen, CEO of Kleven.

“I am very pleased with the quality of the work that has been done by Kleven, and how our organizations have worked together to bring this exciting project to life. I am very much looking forward to seeing both vessels being finalized.”

commented the owner Graeme Hart.

Some of the new tenders for U116

The big flybridge motor yacht is a Princess 68. The smaller open yacht is a VanDutch 40 or 55. I think it is the 40 feet version. The covered boat with the four outboard engines seems to be a HydraSports Custom Sueños. Comparing with the former yacht of Mr. Heart, this is just an excerpt of the complete tender fleet.

Second Hull of Princess 40M delivered

Following the launch of the award winning Imperial Princess in 2012, the
flagship Princess 40M from the range of M CLASS superyachts, Princess Yachts International
are pleased to announce the delivery of the second hull to St Petersburg, Russia.

The delivery of hull number two comes amid continuing critical acclaim and international award
success for the 40M. As Princess’ largest yacht built to date, and a shining example of how the
British yacht manufacturer is firmly establishing itself as world-leading designer and manufacturer
of technically-advanced yachts in the 100ft-plus market, she was recognised and celebrated at
the World Superyacht Awards earlier this year.

A private commission, the second Princess 40M, has been designed and specified with
meticulous detail. Her elegant Mark Berryman interior scheme features an Oriental theme
incorporating a refined colour palette and tasteful selection of natural textures including bamboo,
natural woods, rattan and golden oak. The spacious yacht interior features six generously-sized
cabins; the palatial main deck Master Stateroom was customised to the clients particular request
incorporating a large designer bathroom suite.

Designed with comfort and entertaining in mind, this tri-deck yacht comfortably accommodates up
to twelve guests in complete privacy, as well as seven crew. Constructed to the highest
superyacht standards, the emphasis was on maximizing the expanse of interior and exterior living
space, further enhanced by clever interior remodeling to remove non-structural columns within
the spacious and open saloon. This created a large area for a grand dining table to comfortably
accommodate large numbers of guests.

Notable features of the yacht include a custom sunpad on the aft sundeck, and the elegant
Corinthian Blue hull, as selected by the owner. Her technical specification is no less impressive.
She is fitted with the first Williams 625 diesel jet tender and an upgraded Crestron audio-visual
system. The technically advanced MTU M93L engines provide optimum power and performance
for long-distance cruising, and an advanced heating system ensures her suitability within colder

Princess Yachts have recently announced the new Princess 35M which will be joining the M
CLASS range in 2014. This expanding range of long-range cruising yachts herald a bold new era
for the Plymouth-based company which represents the pinnacle of over 45 years of innovation
and engineering excellence.
