Euphoria 68 - 21 meters of clean luxury

The Euphoria 68 is a luxurious production sailing yacht with a nice clean exterior design by Frers Naval Architecture & Engineering and an interior design by Design Unlimited.

The flat superstructure offers a great user experience while standing at the helm station. The cockpit offers a lot of space to enjoy dinner with family and friends. When removing the table there is also a good space for a working regatta crew.


The salon is full of natural light thanks to windows in the hull, the superstructure, and skylights. Also, the chosen materials are bright that the yacht has no basement feeling.

The owners’ suite is located in the bow and features an en-suite bathroom, double bed, lounger and a desk for office works or as a vanity. Also, a crew cabin is located in the bow but has an own ladderway.

Two guest cabins (one double and one twin bed) are located at the aft area. Both cabins are also equipped with en-suite bathrooms.

In an alternative layout, the owners’ cabin is aft and the guest cabins are forward. The bathing platform opens a lazarette for tender and toy storage, so the deck is free of equipment.

The price for the Euphoria 68 is about EUR 1.800.000.

Like the Sirena 64, also the exterior of the Sirena 85 was designed by German Frers while the interior was created by Cor D. Rover.

The 26m motor yacht is currently under construction in Turkey and will be constructed in fiberglass (hull) and carbon fiber (superstructure). The yacht will have an operating range of 2,500 nautical miles at 10 knots. The two MAN V12 engines with 1,400 hp each power her up to 25 knots top speed. As an option, there is 2 x 1550 hp available.

On the lower deck are four VIP cabins – with one full-beam suite. The 24 sqm owners’ suite is placed on the main deck forward. This area has an direct access to the pool on the foredeck. There is also a balcony.

“The new larger member of the fleet represents a continuation of the design and building program. The hull characteristics and design are an evolution of her smaller sister: low resistance and a sea kindly hull that performs efficiently and with a minimum of fuel consumption through all speed ranges.

The maximum speed will be in the order of 26 knots, depending on the final power plant selected from among the options offered. In spite of her long overall dimensions, she qualifies under 24.00 meters L.O.A.Cruising range will be more than 2,500 miles at 10 knots. Interior volumes are considerable and incorporate a full-width master suite on the upper deck equipped with a balcony opening over the sea. Accommodations are an owner’s suite plus four en-suite cabins, one of them a very large VIP guest suite.

The fully equipped bridge is independent and separated from the rest of the interior accommodations, with direct access to a double helm on the ample flybridge.”

BILL and ME (aka MY78) is a 24m motor yacht by Baltic Yachts and German Mani Frers. (Exterior) and Design Unlimited (interior).

BILL and ME has a narrow design and a flat silhouette. The designer had an eye on the latest studies about efficiency on commercial ships to adapt it on motor yachts. One of the results is the reduced motion sickness. Alongside the optimized lines, the yacht got also two Seakeeper stabilizers.

Royal Huisman's Project Marlin is a classy 49m gentleman cruiser with exterior design by Germán Frers and interior design by Stirling & co.

This retro yacht project (that is also for sale) welcomes ten guests in five cabins and a crew of ten persons and is under 500 GT. The draft of 1.93m allows sailing in shallow waters like smaller ports or anchor bays.

Tender storage is aft together with a fold-out bathing platform. The crew has an own ladderway on the foredeck to the crew area.

Wally 145 (44m) with Hybrid Propulsion

Wally announced the order of the new Wally 145

The new Wally 145 is a creation by well-known industry people like Luca Bassani (founder and president of Wally) and Germán Frers for exterior design and naval architecture. Studio SculliDroulers Architecture, and the Wally in-house team are responsible for the interior.

Thanks to the use of the latest carbon fiber technology, the yacht has a light displacement of just 171 tons.

Hybrid Propulsion System

The Wally 145 features a hybrid propulsion system with lithium battery pack that allows full autonomy including air condition over the night. The yacht offers also a silent mode to run all yacht operations fully electric to reduce the use of diesel engines. With the use of Diesel, she will have a cruising speed of 15 knots.

The new Wally 145 has been created for a distinguished, knowledgeable, person who really enjoys driving a sensitive, well balanced, pleasant and fast sailing yacht, while cruising with his family but also, and most important,  while racing around the cans. The initial brief was for a larger yacht and contrary to the norm, the new design decreased in size and got simpler during the design process, in search of agility, speed and a closer vicinity to the sea and the elements. Extensive research was conducted in order to get the best performance while striving to produce the lightest weight within its specifications, a pleasant and ample interior, three different and separate deck areas and a very sophisticated sail handling system”.


The master suite with two queen size beds, his and hers ensuites (one with bath tub), office and double walk-in wardrobes is located on the aft area and has the typical “Terrace on the sea” including an own cockpit. The cockpit at the helm station serves as a kind of bimini that provides more privacy and a shaded place.

The salon with sofas, dining and the navigation desk coalesces with the outside. The yacht features a guest accommodation for up to six. There are two twin bed and one Pullman cabin. The forward area houses the crew mess and four double crew cabins (with ensuites).

Under construction at Persico Marine, the launch is scheduled for May 2019.

Sirena 64 by Sirena Yachts - a brand of Sirena Marine (Euphoria and Azuree) debuted at the BOOT Düsseldorf 2017

Sirena 64 was one of the yachts I visited at the boot 2017. She is a motor yacht of “just” 20-meters but comes with a voluminous hull to accommodate a spacious full-beam master suite (24 m²) with a full-beam ensuite bathroom and windows on both sides. Furthermore, there is a double cabin at the bow area and a twin cabin on the lower deck.

The naval architecture comes from the boards of well-known yacht designer Germán Frers while the interior was created by Tommaso Spadolini.

Germán Frers comments:

For Sirena 64, there are three optional interior layouts of generous volume for serious world family cruising in great comfort including large glass windows for a good view to the sea and plenty of natural light. The hull design was developed in depth, including testing of three families of models at the Wolfson Unit towing tank facility in Southampton (UK). In addition, seakeeping tests were conducted on a self-propelled 1/3 scale model of the hull. All in all, I am satisfied to say working with the Sirena Marine Team including the interior designer Tommaso Spadolini we have created an aesthetically attractive motor yacht that will appeal to a great number of mariners and their families.”

“Roomy, refreshing, light, luminous are the keywords for Sirena 64. The life inside the boat is integrated with the outside thanks to the panoramic deckhouse windows to the sliding windows on the side entrance, the kitchen and helm area. The Owner may have a very bright interior by lighting all the LEDs or should have local lighting according to his need”.

The yacht has 2 x CAT C12.9 with 850 HP each. These twins power the semi-displacement hulled yacht up to 27 knots. In the future, the yard will offer more powerful engines. The cruising speed is at 16 knots, the economical speed is at 10 knots with a moderate fuel consumption of 48l per hour. At this speed, the Sirena 64 has a range of 1,000 nautical miles with a fuel tank capacity of 5,300 liters.

The flybridge has a size of 38 m² and welcomes guests for sunbathing, relaxing and BBQ.

Finnish yacht builder Nautor's Swan delivered the beiderbeck designed (naval architecture by German Frers) 32m sailing yacht 'Ti-Coyo' in September 2014.

The most interesting feature is the owner suite at the stern. The owner waived a stern garage for the tender to have space for a suite with big glass sliding doors and a direct access to the sea. The view must be currently unique on a sailing yacht. The main tender is stored in a bay on the foredeck. A second 4m tender can be stored between the glass door and transom door.

The superstructure has a raised saloon (RS) and a clean deck layout. The raised saloon with fully operative helm station gives an elegant and sporty profile combined with a panoramic view over the sea.

Ti-Coyo is performance oriented with best comfort and luxury. The hull and superstructure are constructed of carbon fiber. The experienced owner wanted a very functionally and safety yacht to cruise with a small crew. Because Nautor’s Swan equipped her with furling mainsail and furling a self-tacking jib, she can be easily handled with a few hand.

When the owner wants privacy in the cockpit the crew can navigate in a small cockpit in front of the mast. The main cockpit is spacious and has a fixed bimini with a foldable top. The twin helm station has a comfortable seating.

Euphoria 54 - Pocket sized superyacht

The Euphoria 54 is actually a smaller yacht for this blog. But as a sailor, I have to check also this sizes. I was impressed by this craftsmanship and the wonderful interior. So she needs a place here.

Euphoria Yachts is a brand of the Turkish-based Sirena Marine shipyard. Her German Frers designed exterior has very fine lines and enough space for a working regatta crew on deck. She is equipped with modern technologies to handle the yacht easily with a crew of two. Or alone if you have enough practice to berth.

The Euphoria 54 features a stern garage for a small tender. So you have an unimpeded deck.

The interior design is bright, luxurious and feels very spacious for a 54-footer sailing yacht with awesome craftsmanship. The design comes from the boards of Design Unlimited. Nice details are the floor-level lighting and storages with hidden latches to keep the interior clear. The flatscreen tv can be recessed if it is not in use.

The yacht accommodates six guests in three cabins (including owner’s cabin). Two double cabins and one twin bed cabins are available. Owner and guest cabins come up with ensuites including showers.

Personally, I prefer yachts from 80 to about 115 feet. So I look forward to their 84 feet model. If I would purchase the 54-feet-model I would add a second engine control system to have it on both sides and another navigating system outside.

Blue Papillon is a 43m sailing yacht built by Royal Huisman in 2013 and designed by Germán Frers with interior design by Rhoades Young.

Germán Frers gave her a high-performance hull with a fixed keel and a deckhouse witha low profile. The yacht is easy to sail with a minimal crew of two thanks to carbon fiber rig with a furling system by Rondal.

Blue Papillon has three cockpits and an extended roof over the main cockpit to give shade. The owner’s cockpit at the aft deck has a retractable tarpaulin for some extra privacy when the crew is doing her job. Also, a large sun bed is located there.

Because the transom door is closed we don’t see the “beach deck”. A fold-down platform with staircase to enjoy the time at anchor.

Blue Papillon has a clean flush deck. Many parts are recessed like the hatches and their hinges. She is also equipped with a swing-over anchor system.

A 4.5m tender is stored in the lazarette. Another can find a place on the foredeck.
