SAONA // RODRIGUEZDESIGN

In my personal opinion, SAONA is a very cool design between a very progressive one but also a realistic design to find a client who will realize this design. The lightweight full-aluminum motor yacht will have a displacement of 600 tons and a maximum speed of 22 knots while an operating range of 4,500 nautical miles is possible at a speed of 12 knots. The concept is based on a platform, tested with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and tank tests.

The aft area offers a spacious beach club with a big hatch and fold-out balconies. There is also the storage for the diving equipment. Next to the beach club is the tender storage for a Williams Dieseljet 625 tender (6.32m x 2,39m).

SAONA features a fixed bathing platform with the well-known Opacmare Transformer multifunction platform, integrated into the yacht’s design. It can be lowered down to access the water or lifted up for easier entry from the mooring. Saw it also as a driving range to feed the fishes. The owners’ suite is on the upper deck behind the bridge with a studio, his and her bathrooms, walk-in garderobe and a private terrace.

Moreover, also the captain’s cabin has been placed on the upper deck to keep the way to the working place very short.

The lower deck contains accommodation for up to eight guests in total. There are two full-beam VIP cabins with full-beam ensuites and two double cabins.
