Feadship launched the 77m SYZYGY 818 (ex Project 818) with a live broadcast on YouTube

SYZYGY 818 has been designed by Jarkko Jämsén of Aivan Design (exterior) and Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design (interior). The naval architecture was done in-house by Feadship’s De Voogt Naval Architects.

The vessel is powered by two MTU 16V4000M63 with a power of  2000 kW (each) at 1,800 rpm. The maximum speed is 18.4 knots, the range is 4,500 nautical miles at the cruising speed of 12 knots.

Twelve guests can sleep aboard in one owners’ stateroom, three double guest cabin, and one convertible owner’s stateroom.

The beach club on the lower deck offers a gym and a spa with hammam. Other highlights are a glass bottom pool, a Jacuzzi, dipping pool, helicopter landing pad and floor to ceiling walls.

Project 818 carries a Goldfish 29 tender and a 6.2m Pascoe rescue tender.

Explaining the Name SYZYGY 818

The yacht’s hull number is the 818 and the owner’s birthday is on the 18th of August. Moreover, in the Chinese numerology, the 818 means “prosperous”. Syzygy ia a rare event in the astrology reffering to full moon.
