OASIS - a crossover concept of a luxury yacht and support vessel by Lazzara Ombres Architects (Joseph Lazzara and Ian Ombres).
Although, just 80 feet in length, this catamaran yacht offers extensive spaces. One of the eye catchers is the enormous platform aka flush lower deck with a size of 84 sqm (900 sqft). There can be stored a 28-feet tender alongside jetskis that can be unloaded by an integrated telescope crane. When the tenders are in the water, the platform transforms into a beach club with sunbeds and lounge area. The inner part offers a shaded place like a fixed bimini.
OASIS comes with 492 sqm (5,300 sqft) of exterior and interior space. The sun deck offers Dining, sun beds, a helm station, and a jacuzzi. The main deck houses the saloon with floor-to-ceiling windows, main helm station, a bar, a dining area and two seatings for four persons and a seating with coffee tables. Outside are sunbeds at the aft and a seating forward in front of the helm station.
The lower deck accommodates a full-beam owners’ suite with fold-out balconies on both sides. There are also two double bed cabins and two twin bed cabins. Moreover, a crew accommodation for five people and the galley in the bow area.
Joe Lazzara, yacht designer in the third generation comments:
“The innovation is the stepped layout and higher freeboard which achieves a flush, full beam, lower deck. This space is typically used for technical equipment on a traditional Catamaran hull”
The designers were consulted by the company Fun Air (the builder of inflatable slides, climbing walls etc. for superyachts) to detect the best places of integrated air compressors for a quicker setup of the toys.
