The 47m-motor yacht S1 is on the cusp of being set sail as it approaches its final stages at the Mengi Yay shipyard in Turkey. This yacht, which its twin will soon join, is slated for completion by the summer and is expected to shine at the Monaco Yacht Show in September.
The knowledge and skill of the studio team have come together to create an impressive yacht made of steel and aluminum, designed for skilled sailors eager to explore all the ocean has to offer. Indeed, the S1 project was initiated after an experienced owner expressed a desire to own a yacht that captures the spirit of a larger vessel and its deck and interior areas within a smaller, more manageable size. The benefits are evident – the S1 is a yacht that provides the opulence, adaptability, variety, and power of a 60-meter yacht but in a more compact, mid-size package.
The owner’s suite is located at the back of the yacht, taking advantage of the excellent view from the upper deck, which is perfect for enjoying the breathtaking scenery. It includes a large bathroom with expansive opinions due to its large windows. The main cabin opens up to the upper aft deck, providing a spacious private terrace that can be protected from the elements by the extended cover of the sundeck, which is made possible by sliding glass panels at the back. This creates a flexible deck space similar to a winter garden that can be used indoors and outdoors throughout the year.
The experience is just as delightful for guests, with the S1 providing four double ensuite cabins on the lower deck, including two that can be converted into a luxurious VIP suite using a movable partition. Additionally, the S1 is designed for all ages, thanks to its elevator, which is uncommon for yachts of this size.
Visitors of every age will surely be captivated by the social spaces, featuring a secluded private bar on the main deck with an expansive balcony offering an ocean view. This adaptable lounge can be transformed into a study, a cinema, a place for live music, or simply a spot for unwinding—all made possible by a spacious, transparent wine cellar that maintains a controlled temperature for storing bottles.
Out on the deck, there’s plenty to admire as well. The beach club and the enormous cockpit, wholly shielded from the sun, are the perfect spots for the owner and visitors to engage in water-based activities. The cockpit is outfitted with a collapsible barrier and a retractable crane, capable of lifting to 2.6 tons, which can hold a large tender or even a vehicle, leaving ample room for seating and a bar. It’s an excellent venue for throwing a large gathering and enjoying quality time with family.
The S1 isn’t just about its appearance; its design and structure are equally impressive. The boat’s body is a work of art, combining both efficiency and comfort, thanks to the expertise of the Van Oossanen naval architecture firm in the Netherlands. The engineering and systems have been carefully thought out for practicality during long journeys, featuring an engine room that can be reached directly from a dedicated control room, which houses all the electrical systems. Moreover, the S1 offers ample storage space for supplies – including a big locker for diving gear and a freezer locker for waste disposal – along with conveniently located technical areas, making it a perfect project for engineers.
SHARING IS CARING - THANK YOU!
