Alia Yachts started the construction of a sister ship to Virgen del Mar with a few changes.

Nozomi II has been started as an on-spec project is two meters longer and has a more traditional bow while Virgen del Mar has a vertical bow. Also, the gross tonnage raised from 235 GT to 240 GT. Van Oossanen developed the naval architecture and optimized the hull form with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis of the Omega Architects designed yacht.

Furthermore, the engines changed from Yanmar (2 x 650 hp) to CAT (2 x 760 hp). At economical speed, the yacht has an operating range of 3,000 nautical miles while the top speed is 14 knots.

The launch is scheduled for 2021.
