The Dutch luxury yacht builder Van der Valk presents the new BeachClub-series and the first model: BeachClub 600.
BeachClub 600 was designed by Cor D. Rover (exterior/interior) and Ginton Naval Architects (naval architecture). Although she measures “just” 18-meters, she offers a lot of exterior and interior spaces. 17 m² cockpit and a beach club area with a swimming platform and a sun lounge of 14 m². The foredeck with various layout options (lounge, Jacuzzi…) has 25 m². Two lounge area (wheelhouse, aft deck) and generous use of glass make it a small superyacht – easy to handle by the owner.
The price of the BeachClub 600 is about € 2.72 Mio (without VAT).
Patrick Lankhuizen – Sales Director at Van der Valk comments:
“The BeachClub line is the product of many months of research & development with designer Cor D. Rover and Ginton Naval Architects. The aim was to create something that would be genuinely innovative and give clients not only an unprecedented feeling of space but far more space in reality. Most yacht concepts are focussed on either the exterior or interior volume – our goal was to optimize both.
We achieved this by dispensing with the normal engine room and placing the revolutionary Volvo Penta IPS propulsion system (of which the Van der Valk shipyard has successfully installed approx. 70 units) in the swimming platform area, where the height is still around 1.6 meters. This, by patent protected, the arrangement makes the most of an aft area of the vessel that is rarely used, freeing up a great deal of volume for interior and exterior facilities. As a result, the BeachClub line has the same amount of space that is usually found on far bigger yachts.”.
Construction will start in December 2016 for the first unit of the BeachClub-series. Two Volvo Penta IPS 950 will power her up to 24 knots.
Interior of the BeachClub 600
The fore ship is the owner’s home with a long window design. Between the owner’s area and the guest cabins are two bathrooms. Behind the guest cabins is a lounge with direct access to the swimming platform and large sliding door of glass.
Patrick Lankhuizen – Sales Director at Van der Valk:
“When the first BeachClub is launched in 2017, it will represent a mini-revolution in motor yachting. As well as offering a true innovation in terms of space, the yacht will be completed to the highest standard of Dutch quality and detail that has made the Van der Valk brand so successful. The BeachClub line is a synthesis of rich experience with future-oriented thinking that takes the desires of today’s and tomorrow owners fully into account.”.
