Feadship Concept C

Inspired by how a cut diamond’s facets reflect and amplify light, C shines with innovative features and sparkles with captivating angles. However, it’s more than just creating a memorable design; these elements, spread across the yacht’s large glass areas, draw light deep into the interior, transforming the heart of the space into a gallery filled with light and a remarkably fluid living area.

The design also softens the divide between the upper and lower decks, with each deck offset by half a level, seamlessly leading to different living spaces, up or down. The center of the yacht opens up to an atrium adorned with floating stars and a unique floating walkway, which is truly a sight to behold!

Onboard C, other design features include a partially covered lower deck sea lounge suitable for use at anchor or while sailing, a beach club with dining at sea level, a double owner’s suite, and an adjustable crow’s nest that extends from a private viewing deck. The design also includes two infinity-edge hexagonal pools that complement various seating areas and the atrium layout.

C is a diamond in the rough within Feadship’s collection of concepts. Her hull design and the fully electric propulsion system, featuring inline contra-rotating propellers – an improvement from the Breathe concept and Feadship Savannah – are expected to be 30% more efficient than a conventional 75-meter yacht with dual shafts, propellers, and rudders. The modifications to her underwater shape also reduce the amount of wake.

Concept C is thoroughly researched and feasible to construct like every Feadship design yacht. Building upon the hydrogen fuel cell power system developed for Feadship’s 118.80-meter Project 821, concept design C will rely entirely on fuel cells powered by methanol, with lithium-metal batteries providing backup. Feadship views green methanol as the most immediate step towards reducing carbon emissions in yachting due to its high energy density and simplicity of use. The fuel cells can cruise at 14 knots and reach speeds up to 17 knots when the battery power is integrated into the DC electrical system. To generate additional power, two sets of wave-activated fins extend from the hull behind the anchors, harnessing the energy of ocean waves to meet one-third of C’s power requirements.

The refined remote bridge design, introduced in the 2021 concept, on the 2021 design Pure, C represents the next phase in Feadship’s adaptive technology with a command center situated on the lower deck, bridging the gap between the crew area and the beach club. This command center features the latest intelligent situational awareness technology, including cameras and data integration. This technology has been successfully implemented on Feadship’s Ulysses. Placing the command center in this location will streamline crew tasks and enhance communication between the engineering and navigation teams. The design also includes a compact single-level engine room, supported by fuel cells, which optimizes space for the prime owner and guests, offering more excellent value for the same size.
