IRISHA Yacht Heesen Yachts

IRISHA by Heesen Yachts

The 51m motor yacht IRISHA has been built by Heesen Yachts and designed by Harrison Eidsgaard (exterior and interior).

IRISHA is a full-aluminum semi-displacement yacht below 500 GT. The yacht is based on Heesen’s 5000-series but got a unique superstructure design to meet the owners’ requirements. She reached a top speed of  26.1 knots during her sea trials and has an operating range of 3,000 nautical miles at 11 knots.

IRISHA‘s sundeck has a length of 13 meters and features a sunbathing area, seating area that can be transformed into a dining area. Furthermore, you can find a bar with dumb waiter and a hot tube.

The yacht accommodates up to ten guests overnight but has a dining table 14 persons that can be extended for up to 22 guests for formal banquets.

Description of the interior (no photos yet) by the shipyard:

“The interior design is inviting and relaxing with a neutral palette of beige, grey and blue. Walls and surfaces are covered with textured materials that catch and reflect the light in different ways creating a sense of warm luxury throughout the yacht. The architecture of the interior is emphasised by the accurate light design. Four different settings are conceived to draw the eye to the architectural and design elements, harmonising the design of each room, and creating different atmospheres at the touch of a button.”

IRISHA will be exhibited at the Monaco Yacht Show 2018 and will be for charter.

CRN 86m Explorer Yacht Eidsgaard

Stefano De Vivo – Chief Commercial Officer at CRN comments:

“Versatility, functionality, and elegance are the core features of our shipyard’s timeless yachts. Our close cooperation with leading international designers like Harrison Eidsgaard allows us to propose explorer yachts that have always been part of our DNA. Indeed, as early as in the 1980s CRN was a pioneer in the design and construction of an explorer yacht, the first one in international pleasure boating – the F100, designed by Gerhard Gilgenast in 1982. With Harrison Eisdgaard, we now want to go back to those values that have led us to be what we are today. We are really excited about this new cooperation, which has resulted in a very original concept”.

Designer Harrison Eidsgaard declares:

“We have developed an explorer yacht capable of ensuring great functionality and ease of use while also boasting stylish exterior lines and spacious areas in direct contact with the sea, so as to meet the future Owners’ passion and love. Unprecedented, state-of-the-art solutions like the ones found onboard this yacht are the result of the long-standing experience and expertise of a historical shipyard like CRN”.

Technical Launch Project FIJI (95m)

Lürssen launched Project FIJI in the first step

The exterior design of Project FIJI came from the boards of Eidsgaard Design while the interior was created by Laura Sessa. Unfortunately, like many Lürssen yachts, we will not see public interior pictures or renderings (I think so). Lürssen describes the design as “contemporary modern”.

The features a walkable skylight on the upper deck and an integrated fireplace. A certified helipad will be installed on the bow. A special tender will be an aeroboat.

Project Fiji is also known as Maui at Moran Yacht & Ship.

Vanish Yacht Feadship Superyacht

Feadship launched VANISH

Feadship launched the 66m Vanish with an exterior design by Eidsgaard Design and the Feadship in-house naval architects De Voogt.

Vanish is one of the great yacht projects where the owners are very closely involved to create a personal real dream. Feadship Royal Van Lent CEO Jan-Bart Verkuyl comments:

“It is very unusual for all the people from the myriad disciplines involved in a superyacht build to actually get to see how everything came together in the end. Vanish is a showcase example of a holistic superyacht, and it is wonderful that everyone involved can experience the fruits of their collective labor in this way.”

Personally, I like her exterior very much. She looks powerful and elegant. Thanks @ Eidsgaard Design for this eye candy.

One of the highlights must be the full-height atrium with free-standing staircase. The owner has a full-beam suite with an extendible balcony.

Guests can relax at the beach club on the lower deck, in the spa with sauna or on the sun deck with gym and a 6-person jacuzzi or watch movies at the outdoor cinema. Two touch-and-go helipads are available for fast transport.

Motor Yacht Halo by Feadship

Halo by Feadship

The in August 2015 launched 57m custom built motor yacht “Halo” designed by Eidsgaard Design in cooperation with Feadship‘s in-house design team De Voogt Naval Architects and the owner of “Halo”. Interior design was created by Bernardi + Peschard.

Halo needed a short building time of 33 months and passed the sea trials well. Highlights are a fully integrated Apple TV platform and a very large sundeck with an innovative carbon fiber sun awning construction. It can be electrically retractable.

The interior by Bernardi + Peschard is the first superyacht project for the design studio from Mexico. Currently no interior pictures. Feadship describes the interior:
”It features light oak, dark woods and lots of bronze inlays in a surprisingly modern style.”
The owner’s suite is located on the main deck together with the main guest cabins. Thanks to large windows the cabins offering a panoramic view. One VIP suite is located on the bridge deck with the same characteristics like the owner’s suite (same degree and finish).

Halo features a helipad and an enclosed mooring deck forward. The tender storage for two 8m tenders is at the aft area on port and starboard. The beach club opens by folding down the transom. The diving area offers 28 bottles to spend much time under the water.

The yacht is designed for world cruising thanks to a range of 5,000 nautical miles and a cruising speed of 16 knots. Halo offers a crew accommodation of six double crew cabins plus captains cabin for a total crew space for 14 people. They are located on the lower deck.

Guests can spend her time on the large sundeck that features a custom jacuzzi. It can be covered by an innovative carbon fiber sun awning built into the canopy that slides out electrically.

Feadship director Dick van Lent told the owner during the launch ceremony:

“We were delighted to respond to your request after you enjoyed the Feadship experience during a charter trip onboard Helix.

After you had felt for yourself the perfect craftsmanship, fine detailing and unrivaled comfort at sea that a Feadship offers, you challenged us to build an extraordinary custom superyacht of your own. This short timeframe required an extensive amount of 3D modeling during the engineering design process and leveraged on the enormous organizational experience of the craftsmen at Feadship. Thanks to the close cooperation with the exterior and interior designers, Halo is a remarkable achievement in every respect.”

Peder Eidsgaard explains the design:
“From a quarter front view, the signature silver arches appear to run up, over and down the aft end of the yacht. As Halo drives past, however, observers will notice that the aft tip of the arch is actually turning upwards. This creates a subtle playful tail, which is an important part of the yacht’s character.”
For some parts of the exterior Feadship uses the first-time deployment of “a warm gray Awlgrip Mocca livery”.

The yacht has two MTU 12V4000M63 1500 kW @ 1800 rpm. That duo delivers a cruising speed of 16 knots with an operating range of 5000 nautical miles for the world cruiser.

Wishing the owner a lot of fun with this very cool design.

Wally Saudade Sailing Yacht

Saudade by Wally

Saudade is a 45m sailing yacht built by Wally in 2008.

In case you don’t know her and you see her for the first time, would you see a Wally in her? It’s an untypically deckhouse. If I see it with the Wally glasses, it’s a bit conservative ;). Even so, she is very stylish. I would describe her sporty, elegant and clean with her flush deck :)

Her exterior and interior design come from the boards of Eidsgaard Design. The naval architecture was done by Bill Tripp Design.

Onboard sailing video for a bit feeling ;)
