The Baltic 85 MINI Y is a custom-made performance cruising sloop.
Bill Dixon Yacht Design is responsible for the naval architecture of the performance cruiser while Mark Whiteley created the interior design. The Baltic 85 MINI Y is made of carbon fiber (inner core) and E-Glass (outer skin) for a light displacement of just 50 tons.
Alongside the requirements of performance, the project shareholders had a focus on comfort during cruises. MINI Y features a powerful bank of 30 lithium-ion batteries (24 volts) with a capacity of 2,200 amp per hour to reduce the use of generators for quiet sailing journeys.
A lifting keel with a ballast of 15.45 tons reduces the draft from 4.30 meters to 3.00 meters to reach shallow waters.
Interior
The modern interior is made of pearwood with light cushions. Several side lights adding natural light to the interior.
