Reichel/Pugh designed a 55m sloop-rigged sailing yacht with flybridge (Design 267).

This concept offers an owner’s suite at the aft with direct access to the terrace, walk-in wardrobe, desk and a private salon. Furthermore, there are big windows aft, on port and starboard side to provide a lot of natural light. The yacht features five guest cabins (three double bed cabins and two twin bed cabins). A crew of eight has space forward with crew mess and galley. Each cabin is equipped with ensuite bathroom.

A lifting keel and double rudder reduce the draft from 7.60m to 4.70m to enjoy the sun beds aft in shallow anchor bays (can be covered by a retractable awning). To visit beaches or other areas for small boats, a 6m tender is stored under the large flush foredeck out of the sight.

The design studio calls it “the next level in luxury yachting”. “The Reichel/Pugh 55m is a pure luxury cruising yacht, that has high performance and easy handling,” says Jim Pugh.

“The curving exterior theme of the yacht is carried throughout the organic shapes of the furniture and particularly reflected in the transom steps down to the aft deck.”, explains the design studio.
