Reichel/Pugh presents a 40m performance sailing yacht for fast and luxurious journeys.

When you like fast sailing yachts, then is Reichel/Pugh one of the first addresses to talk about your project for the right calculations. This 40m performance sailing yacht is also eye-candy for me. Although I like classic sailing yachts like J-Class yachts, I also love sailing yachts with a clean design and a touch of character. Adam Voorhees created the exterior design.

The yacht comes with a flush deck forward, a characterizing deckhouse and a large aft deck area with sunbeds in the middle. There is also direct access to the full-beam owner cabin with an office. In the aft area are also two guest cabins. The crew lives forward and includes the mess, the galley, two crew cabins, and a cabin for the captain. The dining and lounge area is placed in the deckhouse with a panoramic view. Thanks to the use of a lot of glass (windows up to the ceiling and a skylight), the occupants can enjoy a lot of daylight even in privacy when the yacht is docked in the marina.

The 40.40m sailing yacht comes with a beam of 8.56m and a displacement (lightship) of 135 t. The draft of 7.00m provides a great stability with a lavish sail plan. The keel can be lifted up to a draft of 4.70 to arrive also shallow waters. This concept has also an attachable bowsprit in the race mode like on the SW-RP90.
