SHERPA - also known as YN 815 has been launched. Rumors say it will be the support vessel for Hampshire II (also built by Feadship).

SHERPA features an exterior and interior styling by RWD, the naval architecture was an in-house job by Feadship De Voogt Naval Architects. The vessel has a length of 73.60 meters.

The owner wanted a vessel with a lot of storage for equipment, large tenders and land vehicles for adventures around the world. Two cranes, one with a reach of twelve meters, the other one reaches twenty meters. Furthermore, a helicopter platform is there as well.

Her explorer-like exterior profile is accentuated by an unfaired hull which leaves the plate work and welding exposed. This sturdy finish was requested by the owner who wished to generate an industrial look.

The yacht features an owners’ suite on the main deck, two VIP suites, and four guest cabins. Furthermore, there is an observatory on the bridge deck. Aft under the helicopter platform is a lounge, dining area, and a bar.
