Quality yacht builder Heesen prepares the facility in Oss to build yachts up to 80m with a new covered dry dock.

The construction has been started on June 15, 2015 and will be completed in October 2016. The new shed will be temperature and humidity controlled to allow best working conditions. The new shed will have a sun tracker lightning system to save power of 25 %. Also a modern air filtering system will be installed for an optimal painting process. 60,000 m³ per hour can be filtered. They will use 30 % recycled air through special filters.

Heesen Board of Directors comments:

“The new 85m dry dock is our investment in the future and our response to the market request for bigger yachts. The success of the 65m FDHF Galactica Star,– the largest Heesen currently at sea – and the impressive 70m Project Kometa currently under construction, are creating a lot of interest in Heesen from repeat clients, as well as from owners who are new to our brand. We are now ready to further expand the size of our yachts on offer up to 80m.”

My fantasy plays currently with a 80m Galactica Star and an own heli hangar on the fore deck ;)
