Baltic Yachts builds a 35m classic-styled custom yacht (Baltic 117) with smart energy features.

Responsible for the exterior design and engineering is Dykstra Naval Architects while De Vos De Vries styled the interior. No renderings yet but its explained as follows: “light and contemporary’ interior using stained oak, dark bog oak trims and ‘industrial chic hardware.”

Outside very classic, the yacht for an experienced yachtsman will be equipped with a smart energy system to reduce the emissions of the yacht. The power consumption minimizes automatically when no one is in the cabins. Moreover, the waste of the air conditioning is used to heat the water onboard.

The electric propulsion uses large lithium battery banks to cruise in silence.

The yacht has the owner’s suite in the forward area, three double cabins for guests and a crew area for six people in the stern. DNV GL classified the design with a worldwide charter code to sail almost anywhere with guests.

The building process will start in autumn 2019, the delivery is scheduled for 2021.
